Numerous ongoing projects over the years at St Michael’s and All Angels Church included the re-positioning of the chancel wall and font.
The original plan was to move the font in one go, but it became quickly apparent due to the delicate nature of the fonts design that it had to be dismantled and rebuilt in stages.
This was undertaken by our highly skilled stonemasons who adapted to the situation and rebuilt the font is former glory.
